Westchester Country Club Wedding

Lesley and Kevin’s Westchester Country Club wedding was one of my favorite weddings of 2022. I’m excited to finally get their wedding on the blog to share!

Some fun facts… My husband actually works at the Westchester Country Club so photographing weddings here is a personal favorite. The venue is topnotch in the service they deliver all while also providing stunning outdoor backdrops for photos. Then, I actually am going to get to see Lesley again this October because I’m photographing her Maid of Honor’s wedding day! It’s always a pleasure when I get to see brides again at their friends weddings.

Anyway, once Lesley and Kevin’s ceremony that took place at the Catholic Church concluded, guests made their way to the Country Club for a cocktail hour. As guests arrived and were served drinks, The Paul Effman Ensemble played in the background.

Lesley and Kevin knew they wanted to incorporate unique surprises for their guests during the reception. One way they did this was by having a retro photobooth bus for guests to take pictures in. The Country Club was built in the 1920’s so this also allowed them to show a nod to the history of the venue.

When golden hour portraits wrapped up, the newleyweds joined their guests at cocktail hour. They shared their first dance and then Lesley took the dance floor with her dad. Their father-daughter dance is one of my favorites to date. You could just see the joy radiating from their faces as Lesley’s dad twirled her around the dance floor.

As dinner ended and The Henry Haid Band played, another surprise Lesley and Kevin had for their guests arrived. Mirror dancers began handing out retro sunglasses and even joined guests out on the dance floor. This surprise was a huge hit among guests and brought so much laughter and energy to the night.

One particular thing about Lesley and Kevin’s wedding day that stood out to me was just how relaxed and in the moment they were about the day. As a result, they were able to truly take the time to let the days events sink in so they could treasure each moment. At the end of the night, Lesley and Kevin wanted a wedding day that was filled with good music and even better company and they got everything they wanted and more.

I can’t wait to see Lesley and Kevin again in October at Lesley’s Maid of Honor’s wedding. And, I cannot wait to be back at the Westchester Country Club in December. The fall is already proving to be a great wedding season!
