On a sunny day at the end of September, I photographed Chris and Kristy’s engagement session on Long Island. We started with pictures at a marina, where Chris keeps his boat that be built himself! They often take this boat out on the Great South Bay to Fire Island. When Kristy told me about this, I knew we had to do pictures here. Not only did it add great variety to the gallery, but it is something special to them. While driving to our second location, Islip Town Beach, we pulled over on the side of a long open road. There was this beautifully strong light pouring in and tall grass all around. We had fun doing some pictures here! I love spontaneous moments like this during an engagement session!
When we arrived to the Islip Town Beach, it was bright and sunny with blue skies, and very windy! Being at the end of September, nobody was at the beach so we had it all to ourselves! We did some pictures by the water, but fighting windblown hair was a real struggle. We walked around the corner where there was tall grass that gave us a reprieve from the wind. After Kristy changed into her second outfit, we walked and splashed around in the water! I can’t wait to photograph Chris and Kristy’s wedding on Long Island in July of 2023!
