This Washington D.C. engagement session was a little extra special for me as I have known Jonah since 2008! My family would vacation every summer up in the Finger Lakes, on the same street his family had a house. We became family friends over the years and when he got engaged to his beautiful fiance Jordan, he reached out to have me photograph their wedding.
Although they will be saying “I do” in the Finger Lakes in June 2024, we decided to do their engagement session in DC, where they currently live. The engagement session took place at the end of March when the DC cherry blossoms were in bloom. We started at U.S National Arboretum, where we had the grounds completely to ourselves – what a dream! As the sun started to go down, we headed downtown to get some iconic Tidal Basin DC images.
It was such an honor to get to do Jonah and Jordan’s engagement session in such a special place to them. They’re such a beautiful couple and I’m so grateful that they trusted me to capture these important memories. Plus, I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next year!
