Bridgette and Sean’s engagement session took place at Stony Brook Long Island where they both grew up.

We started their engagement session at the Stony Brook Village Center, where the Post Office made a great backdrop with its beautiful columns and clean white exterior. Plus, the shops that line the post office make the area feel so cozy and quaint. Again, a perfect backdrop for an engagement session!

The eagle on the Stony Brook Post Office is actually a mechanical eagle that flaps its wings ever hour from 8am-8pm. It’s definitely a must-see if you’re ever visiting the area.

Anyway, back to Bridgette and Sean’s engagement session. It was so nice getting to chat with them and get to know them better as a couple. In fact, Bridgette and I bonded over both having done Irish Dancing growing up.

I always schedule engagement sessions an hour and a half before sunset, so we get the best lighting. We got really lucky with a stunning golden hour and great weather during their engagement session. We took a few golden hour portraits in the Village Center before making our way to the Stone Brook Yacht Club.

Bridgette and Sean wrapped their session the best way possible – with a sunset and a glass of wine.

I am looking forward to June 2024 when I get to capture their wedding day at Bourne Mansion!
