Being part of Katie and Jack’s elegant wedding at Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York was such an honor. When I met Jack and Katie, their calm and welcoming demeanor was evident. Their vision for the day was to create a joyful and romantic atmosphere where everyone enjoyed themselves. They executed their plan flawlessly.
Honoring Memories Throughout the Wedding
Their wedding was just a few weeks before Christmas. It was a perfect balance of chic sophistication with a touch of holiday spirit. Despite the absence of Katie’s mother, they found ways to honor her memory throughout the day. Katie wore her mother’s elegant wedding band and featured her Cartier bracelet with a sentimental engraving in her photos, ensuring her presence was remembered and cherished.
An Elegant Affair at Westchester Country Club
Following a beautiful ceremony at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, the bridal party boarded a party bus and headed to Westchester Country Club. As they arrived, the celebration truly began. Cocktail hour buzzed with live music, hors d’oeuvres, and joy, while the club’s festive decor added a hint of magic to the atmosphere.
A Reception Celebration to Remember
The reception was full of unique details that reflected Jack and Katie’s personalities flawlessly. From the glittering disco ball above the dance floor to repurposed drink stirrers doubling as microphones, every detail was just right. Jack and Katie even used the same engraved “Bride” and “Groom” Champagne glasses from Katie’s parents’ wedding day! The drink “coolers” by the dance floor were a hit! This kept the party going by allowing guests to grab drinks without waiting in line. What a clever idea! Another highlight was when guests sang “Amodio” during the chorus of September, honoring the bride’s last name. Additionally, Santa Claus surprised everyone with homemade cookies. It was the perfect playful and festive touch to the celebration.
Capturing these specials moments, from the intimate Red Barn photographs to the spontaneous chanting during cake cutting, was an absolute pleasure. The love shared between Jack and Katie, as well as the unwavering support of their loved ones, made it a day to remember.
